The Edinburgh Institute of Diplomacy and Economics (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Company’) has established the following Privacy Policy. We shall ensure that our customers’ personal data (as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of Heisei 15); the same applies hereinafter) is kept accurate and up to date. We will use the personal information provided by our customers to contact them, provide information about our services and respond to enquiries, including by sending emails and documents.

Prohibition on the Disclosure or Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

  • We manage the personal information entrusted to us by our customers appropriately and will not disclose such information to third parties, except in any of the following cases:
     
    Where we have the customer’s consent
    Where we disclose the information to a contractor to whom we have outsourced work in order to provide the services requested by the customer
    Where we have publicly announced that the information will be shared
    Where disclosure is required by law

Security Measures for Personal Information

To ensure the accuracy and security of personal data, our company implements appropriate organisational, personnel, physical and technical security measures, and takes every possible precaution to safeguard data security.
We also endeavour to monitor the external environment as and when necessary.

Enquiries from the individual concerned

Should a customer wish to request the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, erasure or suspension of use of their personal data, we will respond to such requests once we have verified their identity.

Compliance with and Review of Laws and Regulations

We shall comply with the Japanese laws, regulations and other standards applicable to the personal information we hold, and shall review the contents of this policy as appropriate and endeavour to improve it.
