About our institution and lecturers

About事業者概要

By cutting out the unnecessary and taking a broad view of the global situation, we anticipate the Fed’s interest rate policy.
Without an accurate compass, safe navigation is impossible.

Business Activities

Through our studies at the Edinburgh Institute of Diplomacy and Economics (EIDE), we aim to provide you with reliable guidance on how to avoid risky investments.
At our institute, we analyse economic conditions and inflationary pressures from the perspectives of international security studies, international political economy, international trade theory, international finance, public international law, norms, technological development and regulatory policy, in order to forecast the interest rate policy of the US Federal Reserve Board (FRB).

Understanding the FRB’s interest rate policy significantly improves the accuracy of your investments.

The interdisciplinary field of ‘Diplomatic Economics’ advocated by our institute, whilst still in its infancy, holds the potential to become the new standard in investment strategy.

Generative AI, including ChatGPT, remains unable to process situations where multiple academic disciplines are intricately intertwined. Consequently, ‘Diplomatic Economics’ possesses a unique rarity and a first-mover advantage, both of which are offered exclusively by our institute.
That said, the pace of advancement in AI technology is demonstrating momentum that surpasses that of the Industrial Revolution.

Although government regulations on the high-tech industry (such as the ‘Brussels Effect’) are having a significant impact, now is precisely the time for investment strategies based on ‘Diplomatic Economics’ to demonstrate their overwhelming advantage.

Our Commitment

At our academy, we are committed to small-group classes, carefully balancing the creation of a learning community with the establishment of an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

There is great value in learning from the questions of others.
Furthermore, we prioritise transparency in our fees; there is no enrolement fee, and we offer sessions starting from just one hour.
By constantly analysing the latest developments in international politics and economics, we provide our students with peace of mind and confidence.
We respect human rights standards and democratic values, and strive to be flexible in our approach to ensure equal opportunities.

We aim to provide lectures that enhance the effectiveness of investment for people from all walks of life.
To this end, we take individual circumstances into account.

Those with a strong sense of curiosity and critical thinking will find this approach highly satisfying.

若生益宏(Wako Masuhiro)

Born in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture.

After graduating from the Junior High School attached to the Faculty of Education at Fukushima University and Fukushima Prefectural Fukushima High School, he obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Department of International Relations (specialising in International Security Studies) at the Faculty of Law, Hitotsubashi University (一橋大学).

Whilst at Hitotsubashi University, he was greatly influenced by his academic supervisors: Professor Masatsugu Naya, Professor Keiko Seki, Professor Ryo Oshiba and Professor Jota Ishikawa.

He subsequently studied international political economy at the University of Edinburgh in the UK, where Adam Smith, the founder of economics, once taught, and obtained a Master’s degree (Master of Arts in European and International Politics).

Upon returning to Japan, he joined Cosmo Securities (now Iwai Cosmo Securities Co., Ltd.). The company was well-known within the industry for possessing the ‘Cosmo Chart’, which gained fame during the 1992 pound crisis when it was used by George Soros, one of the world’s three greatest investors (Takeshi Fujimaki of Hitotsubashi University was his investment adviser, and Scott Bessent, the Deputy Minister of Finance, was Soros’s right-hand man). I worked as an economist in the Investment Research Department.

Working closely with my supervisor, who served as an auditor for the Japan Securities Dealers Association (the third-highest position in the industry), I contributed to the further development of the ‘Cosmo Chart’.
Subsequently, after working as a lecturer at a medical school preparatory college, I most recently served as a market analyst at a cryptocurrency-related company.
Economists who analyse economic and financial market trends from the perspective of diplomacy and security are rare, even on a global scale.
As the Tokyo market is strongly influenced by the previous day’s trading in New York, the key to successful investment lies in analysing the international political and economic landscape and anticipating the interest rate policy of the US Federal Reserve (FRB).

In 2019, he received an invitation to attend an executive education programme at the Harvard Kennedy School.
